Preceptorship Program

The Only Such Program in the Nation
Dr. Guandalini established The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center’s Preceptorship Program in 2006 as an on-site, intensive, 2-day training course for medical professionals. Over the years, hundreds of participants have studied under the direction of The Celiac Disease Center’s celiac disease experts. The course included formal instruction as well as hands-on training. The course, unlike any other in the nation, offers an in-depth, thorough, accurate and up-to-date education on celiac disease, complete with Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits through The University of Chicago.

Given the ongoing demand for this education, and the need to reach more medical professionals more quickly, we have transitioned the program to an online course. The course, titled, Celiac Disease in the 21st Century: Understanding the Latest Management and Treatment Options for CD is now available at: https://cme.uchicago.edu/celiacdisease2018.
