Frequently Asked Questions

My daughter had a rash when she tasted my Malt-O-Meal. Could this be a symptom of celiac disease?

Many times rashes are transient and after repeated exposure they go away without harm to the child. A rash may be benign unless there were other symptoms, such as lip or eye swelling, diarrhea and/or vomiting. Before excluding a category of food indefinitely, a visit to an allergist for IgE testing would be valuable. February, 2013
