Q

Is the prevalence of celiac disease increasing or decreasing?

The most recent study in the United States showed that 1 in 133, or roughly 1% of the population, have celiac disease. More recent studies in Europe show the prevalence has increased to approximately 2% of the population. Logic tells us that we’re following the same trend as Europe since we share the same genetic pool. July, 2015
